'Supernatural' Season 13: Can Sam and Dean Hack Being Parents? You're About to Find Out

A nephilim. An abomination. The literal spawn of Satan. Supernatural's Jack has racked up a host of sobriquets over the course of his short life, and it will be up to the Winchesters to ensure Lucifer's son remains a monster in name only. Jack's (Alexander Calvert) mother is dead and his father's on a hunting trip in an alternate dimension, leaving the nephilim as wayward as any of Supernatural's sons. They have journeyed through Heaven, Hell, and Purgatory, encountered ever-greater threats, multiple apocalypses, and even met God himself. In the twelfth season, things calmed down somewhat as the show returned to its hunter roots, before ending with the birth of a new being – the Nephilim son of Lucifer. The show is also (finally) getting a spin-off, and one that is bound to...

CW Plots ‘Supernatural’ Spinoff

The CW is taking another swing at a “Supernatural” spinoff. Kim Rhodes is set to star in “Wayward Sisters,” a possible new drama series from Warner Bros. Television that could spinoff from a planned episode in the upcoming 13th season of “Supernatural.” The series would tell the story of Rhodes’ character Sheriff Jody Mills and a group of troubled young women, all of them orphaned by supernatural tragedy. Under Mills’ training and protection, these women will emerge as a supreme monster-fighting force. Other characters from “Supernatural” would also migrate to the new series. Andrew Dabb and Robert Singer, showrunners for...

XCLUSIVE: It’s the ladies’ turn in the Supernatural franchise. I have learned that the CW’s long-running drama series, about the adventures of the Winchester brothers, is prepping a new spinoff, Wayward Sisters, starring the original series’ standout Kim Rhodes. The project — which is being developed as a planted spinoff and will have a backdoor pilot airing as an episode of Supernatural‘s upcoming 13th season — tells the story of Sheriff Jody Mills (Rhodes) and a group of troubled young women, all of them orphaned by supernatural tragedy. Under Mills’ training and protection, the women will emerge as a supreme monster-fighting...
